Epimedium simplicifolium Cc 031207.
Distribution - China, Guizhou province.
Description – A small /medium growing evergreen species, where basal leaves are reduced to one large leaflet. With us this has been very slow to do much. It did however flower for the first time this spring. It was worth the wait for its two colour flowers showing strong similarities to its close cousin, E. zhushanense.
