Distribution  - China.

Description –   A medium growing evergreen species related to E. fargesii  and as with that species the flowers are pendulous  and white and give a Dodecatheon like effect. This is too newly discovered for William Stearn’s monograph and I’ve found nothing on the Web, except it appears to be an accepted species.  Koen Van Poucke is the only current supplier for it the UK, to my knowledge.

It seems to have a compact root and seems grow-able.  We had an initial failure, but subsequently it has established in our protected nursery beds. We will try it out in the open garden in due course.
