Epimediums
Distribution - China, Sichuan province.
Description – A low growing evergreen species which produces rather few flowers, hence the botanical name. It has long thin rhizomes and does well in a pot. The flowers are white tinged with pale lilac and not unattractive, but sadly not produced in profusion. The flower stems carry two leaves, each with three leaflets, smaller than most species, and margined with short spines. Edrum Nurseries were selling E. pumillum which I believe to be this species.
