Epimedium 'Lemon Zest' Cc. 990617

Description –   This is a small sized evergreen plant, said to be a hybrid selected by Darrell Probst, from a bed of seedlings. It is one of our top twenty recommended Epimediums. It closely resembles E. ecalceratum, only a slight difference in flower shape and its much stronger constitution separates them. We have found E. ecalceratum a little bit iffy, but this one seems to have a zest to grow. Perhaps the reason for the name or is it because it is the colour of lemon zest? It is becoming available from a few nurseries, in or delivering to the UK.
