Epimedium 'Kaguyahime'

Description –   A hybrid of E. acuminatum and dolichostemon, raised in Japan, which is a medium to large sized evergreen plant of some quality. It flowers prolifically at the same time as producing spectacularly coloured new foliage. Its sister plant of the same cross, E. ‘Amanogawa’ is quite different, please see under that name. The leaves are pointed with spiny margins and when young are heavily blotched in maroon red. The outer sepals are mauve/pink, whilst the petals are purple. The flowers are medium sized only but are produced in profusion.
