Epimediums

Description –   A hybrid of E. flavum x wushanense, raised by Robin White of Blackthorn Nursery ,which is sadly, is no longer open. This is one of our favourites which you can see has been used as a background to this site. It makes a medium/large evergreen plant which can be absolutely smothered in two tone orange flowers. When established it can have later flowers, although this doesn’t seem to happen with us.  The pointed leaves are attractive out of flower, but when young are marbled with maroon red. It is a clump forming hybrid which I am sure would sell in garden centres, when in flower.  I live in hope, that day will come!
